Introduction:
“Sunday is the golden clasp that binds together the volume of the week.”
~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Photography by Diana Mary Shatpton titled "Wild Irises"

I understand this quote. It is all about a positive attitude while jumping off the cliff... No recommendations this time... smile.

Not much going on a Sunday evening, listening to music, sipping a little wine and thinking about my marvelous day. I went to Waco this morning and barely made it in time for the sunrise. I will get some photos out sometime this week. My favorite shows come on tonight so I am going to make this short and sweet. That said, I feeling this song tonight, it is a favorite especially on this particular Sunday night. It is sung by the amazing group America and is titled “Sister Golden Hair”. Come on sugar look up the lyrics... It's all about love and or friendship.

This song is a Rock and Roll genre. Remember music is a language and these are my thoughts tonight...

I hope you like this selection and have a blessed evening or morning. Thank you for your continued support.

Not much going on a Thursday evening, listening to music and trying to figure out this computer. That said, I feeling this song tonight, it is a favorite especially on this particular Thursday night. It is sung by the amazing Jose Feliciano and is titled “Light My Fire”. Come on sugar look up the lyrics... I wanted something lively... This one is all about love or passion or lust or sex... or all the above and I won't quarrel with that topic.

Feeling this song tonight, it is a favorite especially on a Sunday night. It is sung by the amazing Diana Krall and titled “
Little Girl Blue”. I have listed the lyrics below.

"Little Girl Blue"
Sit there, hmm, count your fingers.
What else, what else is there to do ?
Oh and I know how you feel,
I know you feel that you're through.
Oh wah wah ah sit there, hmm, count,
Ah, count your little fingers,
My unhappy oh little girl, little girl blue, yeah.

Oh sit there, oh count those raindrops
Oh, feel 'em falling down, oh honey all around you.
Honey don't you know it's time,
I feel it's time,
Somebody told you 'cause you got to know
That all you ever gonna have to count on
Or gonna wanna lean on
It's gonna feel just like those raindrops do
When they're falling down, honey, all around you.
Oh, I know you're unhappy.

Oh sit there, ah go on, go on
a
nd count your fingers.
I don't know what else, what else
Honey have you got to do.
And I know how you feel,
And I know you ain't got no reason to go on
And I know you feel that you must be through.
Oh honey, go on and sit right back down,
I want you to count, oh count your fingers,
Ah my unhappy, my unlucky
And my little, oh, girl blue.
I know you're unhappy,
Ooh ah, honey I know,
Baby I know just how you feel.

This song is a Blues/Jazz genre. Remember music is a language and these are my thoughts tonight...

I hope you like this selection and have a blessed evening or morning. Thank you for your continued support.

Introduction:
"The man of knowledge must be able not only to love his enemies but also to hate his friends.” ~ Friedrich Nietzsche

Photography "Orange Crush" by Diana Mary Sharpton

Heard a song on this morning’s drive to Hillsboro and the words impressed me so much, it is my post for this evening. It is sung by the amazing
Neil Diamond and titled “I Think It’s Going to Rain Today”. Oddly enough it was a cold misty sort of morning with low lying fog. In my opinion, the song speaks to a paradox that exists with some friendships. The Lyrics have been added so you can read what I think I heard. So tell me has this ever happened to you? Do you feel it is appropriate to kick your friends down the street like a tin can? My guess is that speaks to each person’s judgment on the friend.

I Think It's Going to Rain Today
Song by Randy Newman

Broken windows and empty hallways
A pale dead moon in the sky streaked with gray
Human kindness is overflowing
And I think it's going to rain today

Scarecrows dressed in the latest styles
With frozen smiles to chase love away
Human kindness is overflowing
And I think it's going to rain today

Lonely, lonely
Tin can at my feet
Think I'll kick it down the street
That's the way to treat a friend

Bright before me the signs implore me
To help the needy and show them the way
Human kindness is overflowing
And I think it's going to rain today

I hope you enjoyed the music as much as I did. Have a blessed and safe day.

Valiant

Into iotas a chump deeply inhales
Be it the moment I stand before Love
Naked; a heart in watertight blood
A truth handed without repute
Valiant to time’s merciless salute

Introduction:
“Desire is a teacher: When we immerse ourselves in it without guilt, shame, or clinging, it can show us something special about our own mind that allows us to embrace life fully.”  ~ Mark Epstein, Open to Desire

A Towel
A towel covers the eyes
Hands bound with silky ties
As your fingers gentle slide
Touching my inner thigh
I can’t breathe in anticipation
Or move to the oral sensation
And your lips kiss mine
As tongues intertwine
My body screams; let me touch
I want to grab it, taste it: so much
Caress me gently with eyes wide shut
And we kiss all points on the rise
There's no denial in this fiery desire
As you lift my hips
To receive a penetrating grip
Slowly
    Slowly
            Slowly
A connection that brings tears
 to my eyes
In this controlled sway between you and I

Titled "I See You Looking At Me" wild poppies found in the southern part of Arizona.

On my way back to Texas tomorrow morning at 7:00 AM. I have traveled all over the great state of Arizona and spent two days in the mountains which was extraordinary, cold, no WFI or telephone connections. Amazing all the same with sights like the Sedona, Texas, Medera and Grand Canyons. Spectacular topography which I highly recommend that you take some time to see.

Brand new music by Nathan Sykes - More Than You'll Ever Know. Remember music is a language and these are my word for tonight.

More Than You'll Ever Know
Nathan Sykes
Hey girl, I'm thinking of you
Get you home with me, and I wanna
Hey, hey, hey
See girl, don't want another
I'm down on my knees, ready to
Hey, hey, hey
It's a cold, cold world when I'm without you
Don't you know, know girl, I'm lucky I found you
And I love you more, oh, more than you'll ever know
And I need you more, oh, more than you'll ever know
So, please, don't misbehave with my heart
Nothing can make me hate you
You're the closest thing to heaven in nature
Hey, hey, hey
No other man's gonna take you
Comin' over me, that's bad behavior
It's a cold, cold world when I'm without you
Don't you know, know girl, I'm lucky I found you
And I love you more, oh, more than you'll ever know
Said I need you more, oh, more than you'll ever know
So, please, don't misbehave with my heart
And please don't misbehave when it's dark
And I love you more, oh, more than you'll ever know
So please, please
Take it down for me baby
Take it down for me baby
Baby, get it on
Get it up for me baby
Get it up for me baby
Get it up for me baby
Baby
I love you more, oh, more than you'll ever know
And I need you more, oh, more than you'll ever know
I love you more, oh, more than you'll ever know
Said I need you more, oh, more than you'll ever know
I love you more

“When the sun has set, no candle can replace it.” ~ George R.R. Martin

Crossing into Arizona on 3/08/2015 after 12 hours driving time. There are no words!

If You Were Me
Elton John
If you were me
And I was you
If you had to play my part out
What would you do
Two crazy stories,
Two different views
If you were me
And I was you
If you were me
And I was you
What kind of crazy things
Would I have to do
Who likes to party
Who stays at home
If you were me
And I was you
Never like strangers
Though never the same
Two circus side-shows
And laughter in the rain
You stay with the full moon
You search for the stars
Thank God it's heaven
Here we both are
If you were me
And I was you
If you had to play my part out
What would you do
Two crazy stories,
Two different views
If you were me, if you were me
If you were me and I was you

Introduction:
“As soon as you start to pursue a dream, your life wakes up and everything has meaning.”- Barbara Sher

Photography by Diana Mary Sharpton "In Twilight"

Early Spring
It’s early spring,
with a full moon that glows,
dancing on gentle ebbs,
in a land which you know.

We lay curled up,
in a blanket by the fire.
The night is brisk,
and I feel your desire.

It has been months,
in waiting for this day.
As you pull me closer,
I’m nervous; this, I can say.

And, you whisper “I love you”,
as tears, quickly appear,
because darling; you’re more,
you're the sunrise in my soul; dear.

You’re tenderness is deliberately slow,
As emotions swell; I can hardly breathe,
for it’s the first time; as you know,
a fruition in love; we admittedly seized.

Picture"Stormy Morning" by Diana Mary Sharpton
Introduction
“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.”  ~ John Lennon

This said it is Rock and Roll time. Music is a language and these are my words for this night. The artist I have chosen is none other than Robert Clark "Bob" Seger (born May 6, 1945) who is also a favorite musician. His music is hard-hitting rock, which speaks to the everyday person and their emotions. A singer-songwriter, guitarist, and pianist Bob is from the great state of Michigan USA and the song is title “John Fogerty & Bob Seger - Who'll stop the rain”.

It is raining
Days cast into the obscurity of night; it rains
Minding; darkness curves hues in gray light, it rains
Standing at the door deluge captures sight; it rains
Looking out a picture window, ready for flight it rains
He is sure there is more, but it keeps raining
The earth is soaked to its core, yet it keeps raining
Melancholy, he appears to me
Like the imprisoned bird begging to be free
Drip…drip…slow…then fast
Echo to a tin pan’s constant splash

Troubled not vigilant, adrift but alive
Embellished and trying to survive
Covering opinion it is raining; lost to suspect
In ritual, it just keeps raining meddling in aspect
He comprehends, the damp in explorations
Drip…Drip, leisurely, then rapid vibrations
In a relentless splatter
It really does not matter

As a muted night lapses into a miserable day
After all, it is in the indifference when it rains

I no longer accept blame without justification, allow disrespect without retort, accept manipulation to cloud the issues or truth without a personal commitment on speaking out concerning facts and finally I will not beat myself up for any of the above. Glory is God and righteous indignation!

Thank you for your continued support. I pray you are having a blessed evening or morning.
Peace and Love Always Diana

Quiet Whispers

In a moment,
A tempo emerges endless.
Convergence,
Souls construct this pause; minutes pass.

It's still now!
Hypnotized into a carnal state,
Frames veiled in water,
Arise to capitulate.

And there are those,
Quiet whispers of tender delight,
As hours pass,
Into the dusk of a moonless night.

And yes!
Yesterday silently slips away,
As memories formed the freshest taste,
And sound commences beginnings of a new day.

Stormy Monday
Song by The Allman Brothers Band

They call it Stormy Monday
But Tuesday's just as bad.
They call it Stormy Monday
But Tuesday's just as bad.
Lord, and Wednesday's worse
And Thursday's all so sad.
The eagle flies on Friday,
Saturday I go out to play.
The eagle flies on Friday,
Saturday I go out to play.
Sunday I go to church,
Gonna kneel down and pray.
Lord have mercy,
Lord have mercy on me.
Lord have mercy,
Lord have mercy on me.
Though I'm tryin' and tryin' to find my baby,
Won't someone please send her home to me.
