Introduction
“The goal of a life purpose is not what you will create, but what it will make you into for creating it.”

― Shannon L. Alder

The song being featured this evening is titled "Better Man"(2) which is brilliantly sung by Paolo Nutini. He is brand new to me and I love the depth of his blues, soulful sound... sing it to me baby... Yes!!!.

Paolo is a Scottish  pop/rock music singer and songwriter and "Don't Let Me Down" is the 7th track from his album titled "Caustic Love." released in April 14, 2014.

The video published on March 19, 2014 by Paolo Nutini on YouTube. His genre is soul/rock/pop/R&B.

I have listed the lyrics to the song below for your reading pleasure.

Better Man
(3)
Paolo Nutini

She makes me smile
She thinks the way I think
That girl makes me wanna be better
Took her down Bleecker Street
Saw she drank the way I drink
I kiss the sky to send her blue a letter
That girl
Makes me wanna be a better man
Ye should she see fit
Gonna treat her like a real man can
She's fearless, she's free
Oh she is a real live wire
And that girl
She's got me feeling so much better
Oh you trade all the money in the world
Just to see this girl's smile
All the while, she'll make you feel so much better
Oh that girl, makes me wanna be a better man
And should she see fit, gonna treat her like a real man can
Ah, ah, la la la
Come on in my arms
You make me feel alright
You make me feel alright
You know I might get eager
I might lose my cool
Feel like I'm in detention
In the office at the school
And you'll either love me love me
Or you hate me
But I can see you've got no time
For the in-between
But the reflection in your eyes
Gonna look so much better
I said that girl makes me wanna be a better man
Yeah yeah yeah
And should she see she fit, gonna treat her like a real man can
Gonna treat her like a real man can
Gonna treat her like a real man can
Gonna treat her like a real man can

Picture"Holding On" by Diana Mary Sharpton
Introduction: “There is only what you want and what happens. There is only grabbing on and holding tight in the darkness.”
― Lauren Oliver,

Holding On

It’s autumn now in this year of colored stones
Stirring to a brilliant sun, crisp breeze; yet alone
Not lost, only blessed, maybe melancholy, you see
Happy during moments that silently drift to sea

Nothing changes but time from my point of view
As I investigate that mirror to see someone new
Belief, regard, desires, sentiments, all are clues
I was there all along holding on to this love for you

To accompany this poem,  I am add a brilliant artist Diana Krall - with a brand new song titled "This Dream Of You
"(2). It was published on YouTube Sep 25, 2020 by Diana Krall.

Diana Krall just release a new albumn titled This Dream of You and this song is the 5th track. I have added the lyrics for your reading pleasure.

"This Dream Of You "
(originally by Bob Dylan)

How long can I stay in this nowhere café
Before night turns into day
I wonder why I'm so frightened of dawn
All I have, all I know
Is this dream of you
Which keeps me living on

There's a moment when all old things become new again
But that moment might have come and gone
All I have and all I know
Is this dream of you
Which keeps me living on

I look away, but I keep seeing it
I don't want to believe, but I keep believing it
Shadows dance upon the wall
Shadows that seem to know it all

Am I too blind to see?
Is my heart playing tricks on me?
I'm lost in the crowd
All my tears are gone
All I have and all I know
Is this dream of you
Which keeps me living on

Everything I touch seems to disappear
Everywhere I turn you are always here
I'll run this race until my earthly death
I'll defend this place with my dying breath

From a cheerless room in a curtained gloom
I saw a star from heaven fall
I turned and looked again but it was gone
All I have and all I know
Is this dream of you
Which keeps me living on
All I have and all I know
Is this dream of you
Which keeps me living on
Is this dream of you
Which keeps me living on

I hope you have a blessed morning or evening and thank you for your continued support.
My music selection, My thoughts, My emotions, My language.

Stay Safe!

Love and Peace always Diana

Introduction:
“My task is set before me, girl
My mission clear and true
There’ll be black knights and dragons, girl
But I will always come for you…”

― Emme Rollins

My personal opinion on 2020, we are experiencing world caucus as a result of a pandemic and US election.

The Democratic party is trying to put in place a racist shell of a man. It is our belief that his plan is then to step down and give the title over to his VP. This party is fighting tooth and nail with lies and tricks. I encourage everyone to go vote in person.

The song being featured this evening is titled "Rescue"(2) which is brilliantly sung by the beautiful Lauren Daigle. She is brand new to me and I love the depth of her vocal range.

Lauren is a American contemporary Christian music singer and songwriter and "
Rescue" is the 2nd track on her album titled "Look Up Child" released in September 7, 2018.

The video published on Jul 20, 2019 by Lauren Daigle on YouTube. Her genre is contemporary Christian music, worship.

I have listed the lyrics to the song below for your reading pleasure.

"Rescue"(3)
Lauren Daigle

You are not hidden
There’s never been a moment
You were forgotten
You are not hopeless
Though you have been broken
Your innocence stolen

I hear you whisper underneath your breath
I hear your SOS, your SOS

I will send out an army
To find you in the middle of darkest night
It’s true
I will rescue you

There is no distance
That cannot be covered
Over and over
You’re not defenseless
I’ll be your shelter
I’ll be your armor

I hear you whisper underneath your breath
I hear your SOS, your SOS

I will send out an army
To find you in the middle of darkest night
It’s true
I will rescue you
I will never stop marching
To reach you in the middle of the hardest fight
It’s true
I will rescue you

I hear the whisper underneath your breath
I hear you whisper you have nothing left

Introduction: “Summer in the deep South is not only a season, a climate, it's a dimension. Floating in it, one must be either proud or submerged.”
― Eugene Walter

Watch the video as you are listening to the music... this is what we use to do... ! Now we are locked up in fear with economic devastation and lab virus released by China. We don't know who created it but then I think we all do...

Back Down South
Kings Of Leon
Come on out and dance,
If you get the chance,
We're gonna spit on the rival.
All's I wanna know,
Is how far you wanna go,
Fighting for survival.
Underneath the stars,
Where we parked the cars,
Ain't showing signs of stopping.
Pretty little girls,
Naked to their curls,
Ready to lay in a coffin.
If you wanna go,
I'm gonna go,
I gotta fire burning.
Go on take my hand,
When we see the man,
Baby's gonna be a big one.
Baby's gonna be a big one.
When you see the lights,
And when we hear the fights,
It's gonna be a stunner.
I've got something here,
If you give me one more beer,
I'm gonna call a runner.
I don't want to say,
What I have to say,
If I'm kicking off now.
If you wanna go,
I'm gonna go,
I'm going back down south now ahh
I'm going back down south now ahh
I'm going back down south now.
If you wanna go,
I'm going back down south now.
Come on take my hand,
I'm going back down south now.
When we see the lights,
And we hear those fights,
I'm going back down south now.
All I want to know,
Is how far you wanna go,
I'm going back down south now oh yeah.
I'm going back down south now.
I'm going back down south now.
I'm going back down south now.
Oh, yeah.

Introduction: “And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand, they danced by the light of the moon.”― Edward Lear

Save the Last Dance for Me

Michael Bublé
You can dance every dance with the guy
Who gives you the eye, let him hold you tight
You can smile every smile for the man
Who held your hand beneath the pale moon light
But don't forget who's takin' you home
And in whose arms you're gonna be
So darling, save the last dance for me
Oh, I know that the music's fine
Like sparklin' wine, go and have your fun
Laugh and sing, but while we're apart
Don't give your heart to anyone
And don't forget who's takin' you home
And in whose arms you're gonna be
So darling, save the last dance for me
Baby, don't you know I love you so
Can't you feel it when we touch
I will never, never let you go
I love you oh so much
You can dance, go and carry on
'Til the night is gone
And it's time to go
If he asks if you're all alone
Can he walk you home, you must tell him no
'Cause don't forget who's taking you home
And in whose arms you're gonna be
Save the last dance for me
Oh, I know that the music's fine
Like sparklin' wine, go and have your fun
Laugh and sing, but while we're apart
Don't give your heart to anyone
And don't forget who's taking you home
And in whose arms you're gonna be
So darling, save the last dance for me
So don't forget who's taking you home
Or in whose arms you're gonna be
So darling, save the last dance for me
Oh baby, won't you save the last dance for me
Ooh, you make a promise
That you'll save the last dance for me
Save the last dance
The very last dance
For me

Introduction:
“The umbrella won't stop the rain, but it will help you to get out during rainfall. As well as confidence is not going to guarantee your success, but it will give you the opportunity to achieve it.”
― Eyden I.

The world is in a conundrum. Individuals are being asked to live "at a distance" from each other due of the #Coronavirus and for me it has been very frightening and sad. Compounding this emotion is the fact people are dropping like flies at a sugar bowl full of sweet poison. Thank God no one that I love or know has been affected.

People are either playing according to the rules or not at all. The latter being truly selfish and disrespectful. It is surreal.

This being said, my second favorite thing is listening to music and sugar, this along with my first favorite thing is what we will do to pass all this time on hand.... smiling :)

Let's listen to Al Green to talk about the pain. He knows how to sing about it!

How Can You Mend a Broken Heart?

Al Green
I can think of younger days when living for my life
Was everything a man could want to do
I could never see tomorrow, but I was never told about the sorrow
And how can you mend a broken heart?
How can you stop the rain from falling down?
How can you stop the sun from shining?
What makes the world go round?
How can you mend a this broken man?
How can a loser ever win?
Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live again
I can still feel the breeze that rustles through the trees
And misty memories of days gone by
We could never see tomorrow, no one said a word about the sorrow
And how can you mend a broken heart?
How can you stop the rain from falling down?
How can you stop the sun from shining?
What makes the world go round?
How can you mend this broken man?
How can a loser ever win?
Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live again

Introduction:
“A day without you beside me
is like a day without warm sunshine.
It's cold and gloomy.”

― Mouloud Benzadi

The song that I am going to feature this evening is titled “Without You" (2) and sung by the brilliant young duet, Birds of a Feather (Amy McKay & Ryan Leon).

Both singer-songwriters, their music is consider Folk, Pop. The video was published on March 1, 2020 and uploading on YouTube by DEUTSCHLAND. "Without You" is the 9th track on their brand new albumn titled "You Are Music" released on August 28, 2019.
I love this groups' music and this song is no exception. Remember LOVE Traverses it all!...I highly recommend a few moments of your time to to check out their albumn and this video...
A little about the artists and the lyrics are listed below for your reading pleasure...
A little about the Artists: BIRDS OF A FEATHER
Amy & Ryan
"Amy McKay (vocal, guitar, piano, bluesharp) and Ryan Leon (vocal, guitar, banjo) are artists with a long track record respectively. They have been performing on both big and small stages in various places and countries before having met during their previous project, TinkaBelle.

The band was signed to Warner Music Central Europe, and both their studio albums were awarded with gold status. The group joined soul singer Seal for a duet, opened up in sold-out stadiums for rock legends Status Quo and went on tour with The Overtones in Germany.

By the end of 2013, it became clear to Amy and Ryan that the time was ripe for musical development and personal change. The decision for a new beginning had been made.

Birds of a Feather were allowed to mature slowly. Their first two EPs “Light Up” (2016) and “Rise Up” (2017) were recorded in Dublin with the support of producer Ger McDonnell (U2).

They took them on the road and performed shows all over Germany, The Netherlands, Italy, Denmark, and Austria.

In spring 2018, in cooperation with DB, they gave concerts in all major train stations in Baden-Württemberg.

In December 2018, they launched a successful crowdfunding campaign to finance their band bus.

At the end of August 2019, Amy and Ryan will release their first full studio album “You Are Music”.

They repeated the inspiring collaboration with Ger McDonnell, and this time they also worked with three amazing Irish musicians:

John Colbert (Bass), Esa Taponen (Gitarren) und Daragh O’Toole (Keyboard)

Introduction:
“I have not always chosen the safest path. I've made my mistakes, plenty of them. I sometimes jump too soon and fail to appreciate the consequences. But I've learned something important along the way: I've learned to heed the call of my heart. I've learned that the safest path is not always the best path and I've learned that the voice of fear is not always to be trusted.”
― Steve Goodier

Well it has been a very difficult four months, fiscal year-end, new staff and the beginning of an Audit. Then suddenly, there was a leadership change details of which really do not matter. The thing that is important is that I turned in my resignation yesterday and my last day is on 11/22/2019. Lets say when one wakes and looks for excuses to not go to work there is a problem and this time I addressed it head on. I am proud of myself... that's right!

I am okay and did the right thing for me. I am looking for my path again... eyes wide open, with clear vision and heart in hand. I will continue!

Richard Clayderman is a brilliant pianist... here is my music for today, enjoy! It is an instrumental; however the words below describe my emotion.

Richard Clayderman - Ballade Pour Adeline
When you walk through a storm,
Hold your head up high,
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm,
There's a golden sky,
And a sweet silver song of a lark.

Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Though your dreams be tossed and blown...

Walk On! Walk On! With hope in your heart,
And you'll never walk alone...

You'll never walk alone

Walk On! Walk On! With hope in your heart,
And you'll never walk alone...

You'll never walk alone

Love you my sweetheart... and thinking about you... only you

Picture"Come Close" by Diana Mary Sharpton
Introduction:
“Come to me.
Why must you ruin this moment?
You are burdened with thought.
Burdened with the past
and expectations of the future.
You are burdened with your self.
Cast these aside
by laughing at yourself.
And love,
for what more is there than to love me?
Take me now
and let it be heaven for us.”
― Kamand Kojouri

It has been a long time since I wrote anything; however I have thought a lot about life, choices, behavior, responses, regrets, hopes, yesterday and tomorrow.
Living in the now is important... I wake up and thank the lord for the new day... and live my day. I have always felt it was safer to think and act this way. If I die well I didn't agonize over the fact of death. The finality of it all. This probably tells you lot about me. Everyday, I start a new page, it may be the same as yesterday's or even tomorrows; however my plans are typically short term if I am to act on them. Yes there are those dreams and hopes but to buy the new car or tires for the old one happens this weeks, not in three months. I have a budgets that helps me plan ahead... but then I am living right now...
Risk taker? Big yes and small no. It is a difficult yet easy decision and is strictly based on how much I am loved and the potential for a logical or even positive outcome.... This month, this week today, this afternoon... if not then I will address it tomorrow....This behavior is really about believing in my tomorrow in the hopes that if I get there it will go my way or at least I have a sure footing with people, time, events that I have invested in.
Complicate? Hell yes! I have always been at the crossroads of my life... Why? because I am also scare about tomorrow and the choices I make that will affect me emotionally... If I die... well I am dead... who cares... It's the pain in disappointment, loss, love, loneliness that might crush me... So it's hard for me to crossover the road.... To make that decision... The right decision... People who know me, understand this about me and are patiently helping me cross this road.... to the other side.
Don't push! I am stubborn... "smile"
Here is a song that speaks to this universe.

Love Me Anyway
P!nk
Even if you see my scars
Even if I break your heart
If we're a million miles apart
Do you think you'd walk away?
If I get lost in all the noise
Even if I lose my voice
Flirt with all the other boys
What would you say?
Could you?
Could you?
Could you love me anyway?
Is it for better or for worse
Or am I just your good time girl?
Can you still hold me when it hurts
Or would you walk away?
Even if I scandalize you
Cut you down and criticize you
Tell a million lies about you
What would you say?
Could you?
Could you?
Could you?
Could you love me anyway?
Could you? (Aw, could you?)
Could you? (Could you?)
Could you?
Could you love me anyway?
Could you?
Could you? (Could you still love me?)
Could you? (Pick up the pieces of me?)
Could you? (Could you still love me?)
Could you…

I can love you anyway.... I can always want you and need you... however I love you just the same. I can't throw it way, expect a different feeling no matter how I am treated... It's love... a simple fact... I can get angry, upset to the point of leaving but can't because you are my soul...

Introduction: “The initial confrontation of the root is the most critical part of this journey.” ― Bruce Lengeman

In Purple Fields We Dance
 Stay a little longer
come closer to my heart
Breathe dew breeze  on my neck's nape
do not yet depart
Play for me bagpipe music
Blindfold all my starving fears
Let the dulcet tones of your voice
give us back those harvest years
Make  of the citrus moon a ballroom
Hold  me firmly from both hands
Lift me  high to touch the star-sky
Show me how young peasants dance
Let my soothing fingers trail
across your caloused  sun -soaked skin
In purple fields Come chase me
in that place our souls have been
Take me away with you
where this world is out of sight
Where unspoken thoughts and heartbeats
are enough to blaze the night.

"Hungry For Your Love"
I'm hungry for your love
I'm hungry for your love
I'm hungry for your love
But I can wait now

I'm on the telephone
And I am all alone
I'm on the telephone
And we're connected

[Chorus:]
I got such a lot of love
I wanna give it to you
I got such a lot of love
I wanna give it to you
I got such a lot of love
I wanna give it to you

And though we're far apart
You are here in my heart
And though we're far apart
You're part of me now

And after all the years
And after all the tears
And after all the tears
There's just the truth now

[Chorus]

Well, I'm hungry for your love
Hungry for your love
Well, I'm hungry, yeah, well, I'm hungry
For your love now

I love you in buckskin, yeah, yeah
I love you in buckskin, yeah, yeah
I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you
I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you
I love you now

I'm hungry for your love
I'm hungry for your love
I'm hungry for your love

Introduction: “The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of star stuff.” ― Carl Sagan

To Only You
I can’t explain it! It’s like running furiously lost time
Trying to find that moment that’s passing me by
It’s a quiet sadness, only I know to feel
As I laugh in days to nights the skin, I peel

How can love evoke behavior like this?
From agony to seconds knotted in fanciful bliss
An energy laden in the flames of unfettered appeal
Which is the true secret this soul must reveal

To only you, my love is primal, tender and benign
Saith I to you seeking moments shared at your side.

"What Would I Do"

If you leave me, if you grieve me
What would I do without you to see me through.
If you hurt me, if you desert me
What would I do, without you, to see me through.

What would I do
Tell me I wanna know
Who would I see
What would I know.

Well I'm crazy about my baby
What would I do without you, to see me through.
What would I do
Tell me I wanna know
Who would I see
Where would I go.

Well I'm crazy about my baby

"Canary Yellow" by Diana Mary Sharpton
Introduction: “You’ll learn, as you get older, that rules are made to be broken. Be bold enough to live life on your terms, and never, ever apologize for it. Go against the grain, refuse to conform, take the road less traveled instead of the well-beaten path. Laugh in the face of adversity, and leap before you look. Dance as though EVERYBODY is watching. March to the beat of your own drummer. And stubbornly refuse to fit in.”
― Mandy Hale

Can't seem to get this song out of my head, I heard it on the way home last Friday. I plan on retiring soon... or let's say not soon enough. Waiting for my paperwork to show-up. We all go through times that are hard, easy and happy.

God bless me to make it to that happy point... even though it may be hard. The below poem is an internal struggle, I went through a few years ago. The good news is that this battle has become less and less each day. Isn't that something!

I recently moved to a small one bedroom and my children stayed in my old apartment. The complex did us a solid and painted both units and laid new carpet. I just love both apartments. The amazing things is that the battle my son and I were in has vanished. He loves me now! I am blessed... yes indeed.

I love the color of cobalt blue; however I am going to add to this list candy apple red, jet black, soft grey and canary yellow with the brilliance of them all dancing in my new apartment for me to enjoy every minute of the day.

Yes, I can now walk around in my skin, wash clothes when I want, make noise, food lasts a week, no dishes in the sink and there are quiet moments when needed... This move has been an amazing lift to my outlook and mood. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids and miss them, but they needed for me to move out...lol!

Flock of Loons
by Diana Mary Sharpton

Churning thoughts drift as insignificant balloons,
Springing upward into flight,
As a flock of sultry loons
Suddenly! Ear-piercing, there’s a CLASH,
Breaking tranquility,
A complete sound botch,
As birds airlift from the distant loch
Reminiscence, it’s all so pristine,
As a fresh dewy morning,
Crisp, green and serene
Yes, I crossed the traverse today,
And faced a demon or two, along my way,
There’s no hiding from time,
It slams the soul in discomfort,
Slowly crawling up between nerve and spine

One thing doesn’t change,
It’s life’s impression,
Washing down my face,
Dictating pace,
And clocking my next sensation or taste

I looked in the mirror, today
Bewildered, I would say
Instead of me, I saw you
Wondering who it was looking so cool
I knew you but you looked through me,
Seeing nothing relevant,
Just a vastness, encompassing the deep blue sea,
The difference felt little frightening too! An awkwardness, see,
Because, I had found consolation without your soul in me

What would I do? To merge the two!
NOW and THEN,
Split apart by sadness, loss, denial, revenge and sin,
It’s just NOW, so I opened the reflection and let you in,
Touched by this commotion,
You reconciled to NOW and I to THEN

"Knockin' On Heaven's Door"
(from "Pat Garrett & Billy The Kid" soundtrack)

Mama, take this badge off of me
I can't use it anymore
It's gettin' dark, too dark to see
I feel I'm knockin' on heaven's door

Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door

Mama, put my guns in the ground
I can't shoot them anymore
That long black cloud is comin' down
I feel I'm knockin' on heaven's door

Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door

"Trinity Sunset" #Photography #DianaMarySharpton w/ Diana Krall "Wide River To Cross"#LoveOfMyLife

Picture"Trinity Sunset" by Diana Mary Sharpton

Introduction: "Not from the whole wide world I choose thee,
Sweetheart, light of the land and the sea!
The wide, wide world could not enclose thee,
For thou art the whole wide world to me."
- R. W. Gilder

Talk To Me by Suzanne Hayasaki
Sit with me in the shade of this tree.
Tell me who you were, who you are,
And who it is you wish to be.
Talk to me of days gone by and days to come.
Talk to me of warm mornings, cool evenings,
And cold nights, writing by candlelight.

Tell me of the epic that will not come.
Tell me of the love poems that continue to flow,
Unread, unpublished, unappreciated,
Unseen by the eyes that inspire them.

Tell me of your ambitions, your wishes,
Your vision of what you could be
If someone would take the time to read
The words you put to paper so passionately.

Recite and I will listen.
Hypnotize me with your rhymes.
Lull me with the rhythms of your speech.
Create a complete world with your words
And let your voice lead us both
Where you want us to go.

The epic is an oral tradition.
Poetry is meant to be heard not read.
Don’t look for your story in the structure.
Don’t expect to work magic if you are counting feet.

Just be.
Just speak.
Just believe
That within you is beauty
And release it.

"Wide River To Cross"
There's a sound in the wind, blowing down the road I've been
I can hear it cry while shadows steal the Sun
But I can not look back now, come too far to turn around
And there's still a race ahead, I must run

I'm only half way home
I got a journey on,
Where I'll find the things I have lost
I've come a long, long road
Still I've got miles to go
I've got a wide, wide river to cross

I have stumbled, I have strayed
You can trace the tracks I've made
All across the memories, why aren't we gone
But I'm just a refugee, won't you sing a prayer for me
Cause sometimes even the strongest soldiers falls

I'm only half way home
I got a journey on,
Where I'll find the things I have lost
I've come a long, long road
Still I've got miles to go
I've got a wide, wide river to cross
I've got a wide, wide river to cross
I've got a wide, wide river to cross

 Personal Note:
To the man I love, I want you morning, noon and night. I think of you always, every minute of the day. What are you doing today? How did you feel? Did you laugh and think about me? Did you take long steps or sit down? Did you get angry and shrugged it off?

Dance with this gal my darling. The journey is not over yet. It's you that bring the sun to my rainy days and without you I am lost.  Consistency spells affection. Affection is the response to my emotion, I have for you.
You are the love of my life.

Introduction:
“I knew the second I met you that there was something about you I needed. Turns out it wasn’t something about you at all. It was just you.” ––by Jamie McGuire

This post is mainly for entertainment value...lol! I am feeling a little "Soulish". Check out the words before you make judgement. Pretty much we all go through these types of emotions; however at the end of the day, one stays if there is real love.

There's Something On Your Mind
B.B. King
There's something on your mind
By the way you look at me
There is something on your mind, baby
By the way you look at me
And what you're thinking brings happiness
Oh, and it bring misery
Please, please, don't try to tell me
I think, I, I understand
No, no, don't try to tell me, baby
'Cause I think, I, I understand
You want me to try and forget you
Well, I'll do, baby, I'll do the best I can
You know it hurts you when you're in love with someone
And you know that someone don't love you
It carries a heavy burden on your heart to know
That the someone that you're in love with
Is in love with your best friend
And I'll tell you, when someone else is rocking you
Rocking your cradle, you know, better
Than you can rock your cradle yourself
Then there's only one thing for you to do
You just pack your clothes turn around
And slowly walk out of the door
Look over your left shoulder as you go out
Then you hang your head and you say
Oh please don't try to tell me
Uh huh, I think, I understand
No, no, no, no please don't try to tell me
Because you think, you think I understand
Oh you want me to try, to try to forget you, baby
And I'll tell you, I'll do the best I can
You know after you have done all you could do
And you can't take no more, then you go downtown
You get your big baseball bat
And you come back on the scene
Where they both are still together
And then you just go and kick down the door
Now as you kick down the door you just start
Beating the hell of everybody that you can see
Everybody that comes through the door
And just as you make up your mind that you're gonna try
To forgive her, then out comes another one of your friends
And that really blows your mind so you go and think about
You say to yourself, baby I realize I've done wrong
But please forgive me and with a smirky smile on her face
Then she look up at you and she say
If you ever think about me
(Oh I think about you, baby)
If you ever change your mind
(Oh you're staying on my mind, baby)
If you ever think about me
(Oh I think, I think about you all the time)
And if I ever cross your mind
(You stay on my mind)
Well, you know, you know
You know I'm yours
And I know, I know you got to be mine
(Yeah)
There's something on your mind, be
I can tell by the way you look at me
(Oh, there's something, on my mind, baby)
There is something on your mind
(Oh can you tell, there's something on my mind)
By the way you look at me
(Oh the way I look at you, you look good to me)
And what you're thinking brings happiness
(Yes, baby)
Oh and it can bring misery
(Yes, all right)

“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.”
