![]() Introduction: "May you live every day of your life.” ― Jonathan Swift, Smoky Dreams He’s in love, not as one wound imagine Not to the touch of skin or softness in its fold Not in the wetness of her lips or the curve in those hips Or even in those ample breasts he longs to hold No, not even in the length of her lash It’s the power in seconds as hours together they pass It’s in a scent; a looming ferocity, hot as a wild fire That intensifies in the very dampness to crude desire It’s fresh as the breath in a morning spring breeze Or salty, as drawn from the deepest icy blue sea It’s living in clarity within their smoky dreams And the simple joy that laughter always brings He loves; a mirror reflects this root inside A shadowy man that appears to his side Rage? Regret? Invisible now as natural sin A man’s soul reflects deep from within On a second peek, his loves’ revealed Hand’s free, heart complete; a finality is sealed Diana Mary Sharpton © Copyright 2016 All Rights Reserved My Sugar xxxx Uploaded on Jun 30, 2010 to YouTube by Michelle Per San Diana Mary Sharpton ~ Poetry & Photography ©All Rights Reserve 2017 Contact: DianaMSharpton@Gmail.com

Diana Mary Sharpton“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.” Categories
